Rustic Themed Wedding Album

This is a rustic themed wedding guest book I made for a friend.  I purchased a simple white wedding guest book the kind that is padded.  I tore it apart so that the cardboard cover and patting were showing.  I covered the front and back with a napkin that I purchased from Target, I sponged on Aleen's tacky glue to adhere it.  I adhered a piece of burlap with Mod Podge, added cornflower blue satin ribbon and tied it around the cover.  Then I picked some bark off a birch tree along with some twigs and glued them on using Aleen's glue and some E6000, added some wild orchid crafts roses, tied a tangerine colored thread around the ribbon, added a Joleen's material flower in the corner, printed the names and covered it with a Tim Holtz ornate plate.  I love how it turned out and hope you do too!

Thanks!

Handmade Lego Invitations

These invitations were made using card stock, dotted embossing folder by sizzix, paper trimmer, and adhesive.  Cut your black piece of card stock to the size you want your invitation to be, emboss it using folder, run through your die cutting machine (I used the Sizzix Big Kick).  Trim your other bright colored card stock down to fit in embossing folder and emboss.  Trim bright colored cards stock in various square and rectangular shapes and start piecing together on the black card stock leaving an outer edge showing.  Make sure the adhesive you use is strong.  Cut a white piece of card stock to fit on the other side with all your information on it (date of party, time etc.).  I found this Lego logo and put it in a word file then created the You're Invited using a font that would look best. Thank you for stopping by!

Fall Treat Holders

I made these cute fall treat holders using 8 1/2 x 11 card stock.  Cut in half vertically at 4 1/4" Score at 1 ", 5 1/2" 6 1/2" and 10".  Fold all the creases.  Make sure you have it on the side where the top flap can cover the bottom.  Decorate the face as you like.  Place your treat inside, I used mini pretzel bags but you can use hot cocoa, mini cookies, etc.  Tape your treat down.  Place adhesive on bottom flap and fold top flap over bottom evenly.  Tie a piece of ribbon or raffia around and there you have it!
